Nissin and their ARES line of rods are one of the few rod companies in Japan that roll their own blanks. This puts them on par with other high end Made in Japan rods.

Blue Porter SHJ are Ares rods for Shore Jigging technikue. They feature 4-axis carbon weave that reduces longitudinal torsion and makes the blank restore to its original shape faster when casting thus allowing for better and longer casts. They also have Ares Matte wrapping and Fuji K guides.
