Nissin and their ARES line of rods are one of the few rod companies in Japan that roll their own blanks. This puts them on par with other high end Made in Japan rods.

Blue Porter X4 AJ are Ares rods for Aji (horse mackerel) fishing with ultra light lures. They feature 4-axis carbon weave that reduces longitudinal torsion and makes the blank restore to its original shape faster when casting thus allowing for better and longer casts. They also have Ares Matte wrapping and Fuji K guides.
They have sensitive solid tib that will allow you to feel the most subtle bites of the fish and will best perform with small soft plastics on jig heads.
